CAMPYLOBACTER CHEK

T31096

The CAMPYLOBACTER CHEK™ test is an enzyme immunoassay for the qualitative detection of a Campylobacter-specific antigen in human fecal specimens.

It is designed to detect Campylobacter jejuni, Campylobacter coli, Campylobacter lari, and Campylobacter upsaliensis from patients with signs and symptoms of gastroenteritis. The test is intended for use with preserved fecal specimens in transport media and unpreserved fecal specimens.

  • Detects Campylobacter-specific antigen
  • Utilizes preserved or unpreserved fecal specimens
  • Provides results in less than 60 minutes

Results should be considered in conjunction with clinical findings and patient history.

Results indicators

A test sample is considered positive if it has an obvious yellow color when compared to the negative control well. It may be less yellow or more yellow than the color observed in the positive control well. A test sample is considered negative if the reaction is colorless or less yellow than the negative control well.

A positive result indicates Campylobacter antigen is present in the specimen. A negative result indicates that Campylobacter antigen is absent or the level is below the detection limit of the test.
