The ASCA-CHEK™ test is an ELISA for the qualitative detection of human anti-S. cerevisiae antibodies (ASCA) in feces and serum. The test result is used as an aid in the diagnosis of Crohn’s disease in combination with clinical and laboratory findings.

The ASCA-CHEK™ test is an enzyme-linked immunoassay (EIA) for detecting ASCA in human feces and serum. The test provides a method utilizing antigens of Saccharomyces cerevisiae for measuring total fecal and serum ASCA as an aid to distinguish Crohn’s disease from other gastrointestinal illnesses such as ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel syndrome.
